Today on International Firefighters’ Day we would like to say a special thank you to Aaron Crown, Manufacturing Engineer, who has also been a volunteer firefighter for Crafton Volunteer Fire Department for over 10 years. Here is what Aaron had to say about his careers.

‘As a volunteer firefighter I enjoy helping others the most. Whether it be a house fire, vehicle accident, lost child, or medical emergency, knowing that on someone’s worst day I can be there to help and make a difference fills me with a sense of purpose.

In many ways my careers as a firefighter and engineer share common attributes. The main one being problem solving. It could be a car accident, or a complication in production, both involve critical decision making and thinking outside the box.’

We would like to thank Aaron and all firefighters past and present for their service, commitment, and sacrifice, and for keeping everyone safe, especially considering the challenges faced over the past year.
