Gas Hydrocarbon Ultrasonic Flow Meters

Overview

The Caldon LEFM 300 series ultrasonic gas meter product range spans multiple configurations to resolve a diverse range of application challenges.

Through a full technology acquisition of the Westinghouse Leading Edge Flow Meter (LEFM) technology by Caldon in 1989, our path configurations are based on the Westhouse development of the Gaussian integration technique delivering optimum measurement performance.

With patented transducer technology facilitating replacement under pipeline pressure without any special tools, our designs have been proven to deliver high performance and high integrity in demanding application conditions.

LEFM340Ci: The industry-standard 4-path configuration, combined with a flow conditioner for custody transfer applications, offering a cost-effective solution for natural gas metering.

LEFM 344Ci: The 344Ci features two independent 4-path flow meters in one compact meter body, providing full redundancy at a reduced cost.

LEFM 380Ci: Our 8 path provides mitigation of swirl and non-axial flow. This improves performance with or without a flow conditioner. The 380Ci provides the option for custody transfer performance without the blockage, acoustic noise and pressure loss associated with flow conditioning.

LEFM 388Ci: The 388Ci features two independent 8-path flow meters in one compact meter body, enabling a compact installation, whilst delivering 100% redundancy at a reduced cost.

SVM 389Ci: A breakthrough in verification of ultrasonic gas meters our Self Verifying Meter technology builds on the robustness and performance of the 8-path meter to deliver a quantitative evaluation of meter performance. Based on the current process and meter conditions, SVM outputs flowrate and quantifies the uncertainty in this flowrate every second.
