Liquid Hydrocarbon Ultrasonic Flow Meters

The CALDON LEFM 200 series ultrasonic liquid meter product range spans multiple configurations to resolve a diverse range of applications challenges, whether refined products, heavy crudes or cryogenic applications.

Through a full technology acquisition of the Westinghouse Leading Edge Flow Meter (LEFM) technology by CALDON in 1989, our path configurations are based on the Westhouse development of the Gaussian integration technique delivering optimum measurement performance.

Our ability to deliver ultrasonic liquid flow meters ranging from economical solutions to resolving complex installation challenges or delivering unique self verification techniques, CALDON continue to work with our customers to understand and solve their application challenges.

LEFM240Ci: The industry-standard 4-path configuration, combined with a flow conditioner for custody transfer applications, offering a cost-effective solution for natural gas metering.

LEFM 244Ci: The 388Ci features two independent 4-path flow meters in one compact meter body, enabling a compact installation, whilst delivering 100% redundancy at a reduced cost.

LEFM 280Ci:  Our 8-path provides mitigation of swirl and non-axial flow.  This improves performance with or without a flow conditioner.   The 280Ci provides the option for custody transfer performance without the blockage, acoustic noise and pressure loss associated with flow conditioning.

LEFM 280CiRN:  Our 8 path Reducing Nozzle (reduced bore) design has been specifically developed to optimise proving performance by reducing volumes and improving success rate. The meter has also been designed to measure high viscosity fluids with no Reynolds number dependence per OIML R117 Class 0.3.

SVM 289Ci: A breakthrough in verification of ultrasonic liquid meters our Self Verifying Meter technology builds on the robustness and performance of the 8-path meter to deliver a quantitative evaluation of meter performance.  Based on the current process and meter conditions, SVM outputs flowrate and quantifies the uncertainty in this flowrate every second.

LEFM 280CiLT: As the pioneer in dynamic LNG measurement by ultrasonic meters our 8-path technology has been in operation on a global basis for high accuracy cryogenic applications since the earlier 2000’s. Our 8-path design, combined with robust transducer technology and proven calibration methodology delivers a reliable and optimise solution for your applications.
