Overview Sampling LPG (liquified petroleum gas) should be performed in accordance with sampling standards of ISO 3171, ASTM D 4177, API 8.2 and IP 6.2. Bypass loop systems offer the option for on-line instruments such as densitometers to be integrated as part of the sampling loop. This creates a combined sampling and analysis package that provides continuous liquid density measurement, which can be fed to a metering system for mass transfers.
